Just a snowflake

Now, folks, this is where I want you to find the pattern for this.  I'll give you time to find it and when you do then please tell me in the comments.

This is one that can be worked in one 'hit'.  No sewing in of ends until it's finished. My sort of tatting!!!!

Admitting defeat - I've hunted and hunted and I can't find it! At first I thought it was the Joseph motif but it isn't that one. I hop someone else is a better sleuth than I am, so that I can take it with me on my trip!

It looks very familiar... But not one of the patterns I have printed out and my saved patterns were somewhat depleted by a hard-disc crash.

Not sure where it's from.

Pretty!

I found it. It is called Betsy Snowflake by Betsy Evans of Charter Oak Designs. 2004. She put it online as a teaser for her book Let It Snow. I emailed the pattern to you.

Thanks, Batty Tatter. Somebody else pointed Betsy Snowflake out to me too. There is quite a difference, though, as mine doesn't start with rings in the middle and there are a few other variations too. When I 'get round to' publishing this new pattern I will acknowledge the similarity but I feel it maybe enough different for me to 'go with it'.

It's almost the same but sort of different, Erin. Not sure what to do about it. Betsy starts with rings in the middle whereas mine is a chain round a bead and then chains with rings thrown off. Also there are chains between the 'clovers' too. I MAY put it on my site with a link to Betsy's - any thoughts or comments welcome.

I agree your snowflake is significantly different from Betsy's. Both are lovely.
